Depends on the establishment. Most corporate bars have a training program lasting anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks. Mom and Pop operations they give you the basics and depending how fast you snap to it all they decide what shifts and when you can fly solo. The longest I have trained is 5 days the shortest--30 mins to go over cash register, show me the ice machine and here take a gander at the beer cooler and liquor shelves
