If you want a good champagne I can suggest two that are a lot cheaper and just as good.
Moet & Chandon is an excellent champagne for the price.
Veuve Cliquot with the orange label is also very good.

too much -- if you aren't used to drinking vintage champagnes its going to taste like a bottle of sand. go with a moet chandon for a fraction of the price -- the bottle is swankier too. or impress them by ordering a prosecco or good spumante they are a bit lighter and sweeter and generally enjoyed better than french sparkling wines.
