The liquor will taste the same as the day you bought it, Once liquor like Scotch, Will not age anymore once it was removed from the barrel and put into bottles, And yes the wine depending on the type of wine it is, Is more then likely vinegar by now....

I agree with TE.

For most part, most alcoholic beverages do not improve with aging. Most of the aging process occurs in barrels. Once the liquor has been bottled, the aging process stops. If you keep a liquor for too log, the quality will actually decrease drastically.

The only alcoholic beverage that benefit from aging is Red Wines. Specifically, you are looking for good red wines. While decent Cabernet or Merlot can last 5-10 years, some top of the line Cabernet can last 20-30 years. Bordeaux wines, which are French wine blending Merlot and other variety of grapes, can be cellared for 50 years or more. The reason is not just the quality of grape but also the presence of tannin, which will over time breakdown and bring out the complexity and delicacy of red wines. That is why we call wine a living art.

White wines, on the other hand, generally do not benefit tremendously with aging.
