Answers: Yes, and a shot is approx. 1.5 oz

Yup.

What time's happy hour? I'll have a Manhattan on the rocks, extra cherry.

yes because like if you like drinking then that's all on you.
But I think you should stop drinking like that.Sorry if I dis apointed
you but it is true. BYE BYE.

In a sense..... a "shot" of something in bartender terms is traditionally a 4 or 5 count... an ounce or so......

Ok... when something calls for a shot of something... get one of those little pour spout things, put it on the bottle, start pouring and counting up to 5 QUICKLY. That's your shot count..

Reference:

each 1/4 is a count so 1/4 is a one, 1/2 is a two, 3/4 is a three a full four count id a (wait for it) Four!

so if something calls for a shot and a 1/2 of something, count to four measuring the first thing that count to 2 doing the last.

Yes and that reminds me of the latest drink a friend of mine came up with. Its a glass of orange juice with a shot of vodka and a half shot of milk of magnesia. He calls it a Phillips screw driver. Yuk Yuk YUK

You should buy a jigger to measure with one side is a whole shot the other is half. . .

Yes, you've got it.

Roger!
