Are pint glasses with the white pint line on illegal?!

Question:

Are pint glasses with the white pint line on illegal?

Answers:
No, they're not illegal just breweries prefer not to provide them to their managers because they make more money by selling 'short' pints with more froth.

erm no...why you ask?

No they are still legal but the new ones need to be full to the brim to have a full pint. Thereby lies a problem, beer should not have a froth on top but UK drinkers demand it. Landlords get rich by putting loads of foam on top.

Beer should have the "froth" a.k.a "head" as that is where much of the flavor comes from. The pint glasses you are talking about ensures that the patron really gets a pint of beer.

no - the white line is where it needs to be filled to to make sure you get a pint, then you have enough room in your glass to have a proper head whilst still getting a full pint

Not illegal just not used,It is all free flow now ,More money for the land lords,Short measures.

certainly not, they are very good and ensure that you get a full pint plus head. if you attend a camra beer festival you will always be served with one of these attend the gbbf at earl's court aug 7-11 .

not now no

we have just won the rights to continue selling pints and not having to change to half litres

Actually they are all wrong, you can ask any landlord and they will tell you i'm correct, pint glasses are only legal if they are government stamped, if you look on a pint glass there should be a little crown type stamp with a 3-4 digit number below if you can't see one of those then the glass is not considered to be legal and landlords can be prosecuted for using them, as long as they have that stamp on then they can have anything they like on

no
