Has anyone tried Louis XIII cognac?
I tried it a few nights ago and didn't see what the big deal was. It tasted like Hennessy VSOP.

Louis XIII by Remy Martin is one of my favorites. Its one of the most smooth and flavorful of Cognacs.
As a cognac lover the inexpensive brands give me heartburn and taste better as mixer. Hennessy VSOP, while good is not in the same class as Louis XIII.
Try Remy XO, extremely smooth especially when you sip it straight.
the big deal is the bottle is made out of Barrack Crystal. and the 1500 a bottle price range
you can buy the bottle on ebay, a lot of people buy the bottle to throw in XO or something like that, becasue people do not know any better
also it looks really nice in that box behind the bar
nope never had it, had XO and I loved it
It was good for cognac. I'm not a huge cognac fan. My friend's grandmother had it at a Christmas party and we broke into her stash.
