What would happen if Guinness containers didn't have the Rocket Widget?!

Question:

What would happen if Guinness containers didn't have the Rocket Widget?

Answers:
what it does is when the bottle is opened the rocket releases compressed beer giving it the foam famous for Guinness. as you drink it from the bottle, with every drink you take more pressure is released, insuring that a little bit of head is the beer at all times... this helping to give you the experience of drinking guiness like you would get straight from the pub.

Without it, it would never be the same

it wouldnt be the same

They would explode

The drink wouldn't be quite as creamy or have as much of a head if it didn't have the rocket widget.

I don't drink it but I read a blog about it. Some of it is here:

http://www.manthatcooks.com/archives/200...

scroll down about half way, or here's the interesting bit:
"The widget creates a tunnel in the flow to the mouth allow the flavour to breathe and open up, just as happens in a glass."

There used to be a link discussing serving beer in a glass, but it's broken now. He said that beer is much improved by drinking it from a glass - to the extent where he didn't like this one beer at all, til he tried it in a glass, and decided it was quite drinkable.

you wouldnt get the foam head on top.
