Question: I am trying to remember what a special class is called, most bartenders have to take. It's about how to tell if a person is too intoxicated and safety and all that. I just can't remember the name of the class. Anyone?

The one we had to take is called TIPS. based on that book with the test for certification.

Depends where you are... in Texas it's a TABC certification...classes that last 4 hours certifies you for 2 years

sounds like the ALE class, it was included in my mixology class

It is called TIPS certification course (at least in PA that is what it is called) it also helps you handel such situations.

TAM --Techniques of Alcohol Management-- Where I am from. Might be a different name but should be similar to it.
