Sweet wines?!
Answers: I like sweeter wines such as White Zin, Reisling and Lambrusco. I would like to try other types of sweet wines, any suggestions?
If you like Reisling then you should try Gewurztraminer .
Icewine - Its a dessert wine made in the colder climates like in Canada or the northwest and they harvest the grapes when they're frozen.
the best sweet wine i've had is Moscato d'Asti. Delicious!
Reisling is the way to go with sweet wine. The best to try would be from Germany as they do it right.
drink any french wine with moulleux on it meaing sweet as far as i can gather ...
If you like sweet wines, definitely try a Sauternes. The bottles can range from $25 - $1,00.00+, but usually a bottle around $100 is pretty nice. My favorite dessert wine is Rosa Regale by Banfi - it's a sparkling red wine with raspberry accents - it's very fruity, light, and it goes GREAT with chocolate :)
Otherwise, my favorite sweet Riesling is from Columbia Winery. It's hard to find because not too many places stock it, but it's the best I've had to date.
Ports, Sangria, Most Kosher wines produced by Manischewitz Concord grape is just one example, Any Rhine wines, Rose wines, Any type of Riunite wines red or white, Are sweet, Most all German wines are sweet, White Merlots, That will keep you busy for a while, Welcome to the interesting world of wine, Enjoy yourself....
Look for labels that say "late harvest" as they are sweet dessert wines. Sometimes I'll mix a little Moscato (1/3) with Sauvignon Blanc (2/3) to get something sweeter, but not all dessert-like. I got the idea from a guy pouring samples at a place in Napa. Also, it sounds crazy, but try the Rombauer Zinfandel. Its pretty much a dessert wine - super sweet.
If you like dessert wines, try some muscats; I like the occasional beaumes de venise.
