Three years ago I tried the Basic brand cigarettes, for the first time. At the time, I smoked Camel Lights. All I have to say about the Basic brand cigs is...... You get exactly what you pay for. The quality of that brand was not very good. Stick with Marbos' or Camel's.
Yes. Any form of cigarette is horrible, and the absolute worst way to enjoy tobacco.
Take up cigars or pipes if you want tobacco. You'll be glad you did.
