Technically champagne is sparkling wine from the Champagne district of France, all other "champagnes" are just sparkling wine. Regular wine is not carbonated.

Champagne has bubbles, wine does not. :)

Champagne is a sparkling wine produced by inducing the in-bottle secondary fermentation of wine to effect carbonation. It is named after the Champagne region of France. While the term "champagne" has often been used by makers of sparkling wine in other parts of the world, many claim it should properly be used to refer only to the wines made in the Champagne region.

Wine is not carbonated, champagne is.

Champagne is made in the Champagne region of France. Also, it is carbonated. Not all carbonated wines are Champagne. They must be produced in the region to be called that. Other than that it is known as Sparkling White Wine.

Technically champagne is sparkling wine from the Champagne district of France, all other "champagnes" are just sparkling wine. Regular wine is not carbonated.

Champagne is usually a higher class of wine that is carbonated. People in Europe are more likely to drink champagne than in America where we would usually just use it to spray each other during parties.

I've drank champagne and I've drank wine. What I've noticed is that champagne is always served chilled where as wine can be dranked which ever way pleases you.

Champagne usually uses different yeast to make it, and there are some other differences but, the main difference is champagne is carbonated wine is not.

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS ITS CARBONATED AND COME FROM THE CHAMPAGNE AREA IN FRANCE.

All Champagne is wine, but not all wine is Champagne.

I think Winston Churchill summed it up beautifully when he said "only the French could take a piss poor white wine, add bubbles to it and make a fortune"

Its all in the bubbles and the 'methode champanoise' of fermenting the wine and the area it comes from, the champagne distric of France, any other wine with bubbles in it should be called 'sparkling wine'

Cheers

Hey dude! better way to know the diff. just have a taste of both n feel the diff. as far as I m concerned its our mentality that wine is considered as normal drink that u can drink everyday but champagne is treated as the occasion's main drink.

WINE:- Its an alcoholic beverage that contains 8-22% alcohol.
THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF WINE LIKE RED WINE,WHITE WINE,ROSE WINE,SPARKLING WINE,AROMATIC WINE AND FORTIFIED WINE.WINE IS MADE FROM BOTH BLACK AND WHITE VARIETY OF GRAPES DEPENDING ON TYPE OF WINE REQUIRED.FRANCE HAS THE WORLDS BEST QUALITY WINE BECAUSE THE CLIMATIC CONDITIONS ARE IDEAL FOR GROWING GRAPES ON VINES.THERE ARE DIFFERENT REGIONS IN FRANCE WHERE WINES ARE MANUFACTURED LIKE BORDEAUX,BURGUNDY,CHAMPAGNE,AL... THEY CAN BE SERVED AT ROOM TEMPERATURE OR CHILLED.

CHAMPAGNE:- ITS A TYPE OF WINE.IT IS A SPARKLING WINE..IT IS CALLED CHAMPAGNE BECAUSE ITS FROM CHAMPAGNE REGION. IT HAS APPROX 14% ALCOHOL IN IT. 3 MAIN GRAPE VARIETIES ARE USED IN MAKING CHAMPAGNE.IT IS MADE FROM 2 BLACK GRAPES AND 1 WHITE GRAPE.THE BLACK GRAPES ARE PINOT NOIR AND PINOT MUEINIERE.NO OTHER GRAPE CAN BE USED IN MAKING CHAMPAGNE.
CHAMPAGNE IS A SPARKLING WINE BECAUSE SECONDARY FERMENTATION TAKES PLACE INSIDE THE BOTTLE DUE TO WHICH CARBON DIOXIDE GETS TRAPPED INSIDE THE BOTTLE.THIS CAUSES THE EFFERVESCENCE.THUS THE CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE IS AT VERY HIGH PRESSURE COMPARED TO OTHER WINE BOTTLES..ALSO CHAMPAGNE NEEDS TO BE SERVED CHILLED..

Wine is made every where in the world but the champagne is only made in one of the provinces of France. Champagne is made of grapes which are very delicatedly grown in that particular area of France. It is just like our Basmati which cannot be grown every where in the world. It has Trade Mark properties and other nations cannot easily claim of it quality and products.

Let us start with wine.

Wines are of two types - still wine and sparkling wine (through which gas bubbles are escaping, as in aerated drinks). Sparkling wines are mostly white wines (still wines can be white, red or rose').

That sparkling wine, which is produced in the Champagne region of France is called "Champagne".

as wine gets old it tastes hot & Sweet which gives all luxuries of life

Champagne is the liquid that bursts out from the bottle which was shaken by sharukh in DON. Women in the movie summer in bathlehem drinks a liquid in small bottle, ie wine. They both are wine. Champagne is bubbly and the other is not.

Wines, broadly speaking, is the fermented juice of grapes, which has undergone processes like crushing, de-seeding/deskinning, fermentation, filtration, bottling, labelling etc.Champagne is the most famous,of a sub-type of wine, known as Sparkling wines. As the name suggests, these wines get the 'sparkle' because of the dissolved carbon dioxide (naturally produced) present in the wine, which bubbles up when the bottle is uncorked. Only sparkling wines grown in the Champagne district of France, following strict process guidelines (called Methode Champenoise), qualify legally to be called Champagne.....Go ahead, nothing to stop you from popping the bubbly!
