A black Russian is kahlua and vodka
here is a pretty good recipe:
3/4 oz coffee liqueur
1 1/2 oz vodka
Now if you want a white russian: just add cream
Vodka & Tia Maria (or Kahlua) in equal quantities poured over ice.

ONE SHOT OF TIA MARIA
ICE AND COKE.JUST MIX TOGETHER.
A Black Russian is just any good vodka (no cheap stuff) over ice in a rocks glass or something similar, to which you add Kahlua brand coffee liquor. If it's too strong for your taste, add a splash of club soda. Don't try to go cheap with the liquor; it's best to use the brands recommended.
Fill glass with Crushed ice.
Add:
1.5 ounce vodka
1.5 ounce Coffee Liquor
With a bat. Oh wait, that would be a black and blue and bloody and broken Russian. Sorry.
For a better than usual Black Russian:
1 part TIA MARIA
1 part ULTRA PERMIUM VODKA (Kellte One, Level, Belvedere, etc.)
Tia Maria is the same taste as Kahlua, but better more refined.
equal parts vodka and kahlua.
A Black Russian is made from:
1 part Amereto
2 parts Khalua
served on the rocks (ice).
