What kind of alcohol makes a good birthday present?!
Answers: I don't know if alcohol is a good birthday present but I don't know what else I can get my brother in law. I don't think he's all that picky, but he has his own bar in the house and I know he drinks everything from wine to hard liquor.
a decent malt whisky is always considered a treat by my male friends that drink. You can get some brilliant malts for decent prices - try Talisker from the Isle of Skye or Hihland Park from Orkney. All te malts will have a wee bit of info on the bottle about where they are from and they are often sold in presentation boxes, which is great for a present. You could get him a couple of proper whisky glasses to go with it too - he just needs to add ice and sit back and savour the taste of a quality whisky. Anyone owning a bar will value a decent malt whisky. Other good ones are Glenmorangie or Macallan - just go for a Scottish one and you will find one distilled with greatScottish water that makes the taste even better. The older they whisky (ie the longer it has been sitting in the cask), the better. A 10 year old is always nice, but if you go for 12, 15 or 25 year old or above, you will get a quality he will love. A single malt is one that hasn't been blended - the ones you generally get in a bar such as Bells, Whyte & Mackay etc are blends - they can be mixed with coke, lemonade etc, bt a single malt shouldn't have anything added but ice, and maybe a little water. It's generally considered sacrilige to add coke to Talisker!!!!
Maybe a dessert - type liquor such as amaretto or Bailey's.
how bout some grey goose. premium vodka. its pretty good. ha ha
a nice 40 dollar tequila . whatever you do do not buy cuervo.
Anything Top Shelf. Johnny Walker Blue its a nice, smooth scotch. Its a little pricey... but this way, he knows your not being cheap.
My husband says that a bottle of Crown Royal is a great gift for him, but I would see what your brother in law's favorites are.
In order to attain man status you need to get a good vodka or burbon. Anything else and he will question your intentions
one that the recipient likes
it's just like with anything else, you actually make a little bit of effort to find out what they like
Hands down you should go with Crown Royal....
It's a classic that most distinguished drinkers appreciate. It is good straight up or as a mixer.
Wine or Vodka.
I agree Crown Royal is good. How about soem Patron tequila? It's good. Or Gentleman Jack (better & smoother than regular Jack). Or I'd say Belevedre or Kettle One Vodka, Glennlevitt Scotch (12 yrs) is also nice.
Patron Tequila
Rubbing alcohol. It has many household uses. It can clean AND disinfect.

definitely Crown Royal.....you can drink it straight or mix it with most anything.
