How long does alcohol stay in your body?!

Question:

How long does alcohol stay in your body?

Answers:
your body processes each ounce of alcohol by the hour so figure it out.

Depends on the amount of alcohol. Can be up to 24 hours...

24 hours........and drugs for up to 3 months

8-12 hours if you are going for a blood test.

72hrs. REFER TO AA. THEY WILL CONFIRM..OR CHECK THE BOOK...........THE TWELVE STEPS.........

24 to48 hours affter you drink it or if you are like me you will be sober in 6 hours.

Your body processes about one drink per hour out of your system. Therefore, if you had 8 drinks, it should be out of your system in 8 hours. You can feel the effects (hangover) for much longer than you actually have the actual alcohol in your system.

20 hours...

Arthur is correct that it's aproximately one drink per hour, but not all drinks are equal and not all hours are equal. Hours spent asleep will not clear alchohol as quickly and "mega-drinks" like long island ice tea and singapore slings count as multiple drinks. A good rule of thumb when dealing with mixed drinks is to count each shot of liqour used to make the drink as a seperate drink.

It seems the question get asked and answered (mostly incorrectly) about once a day.

One drink + one hour = sober.

Where one drink is a beer, a glass of wine, a mixed drink containing approximately 1.5 oz of liquor, a shot of hard liquor.

depends on how much you drink - ranging from 3-24 hours.

it takes a man 4 hours to sleep off 1 pint
so if u av 6 pints ?

1 drink = 1hour. 1shot = 1hour. drink water to speed up the process a little.
