Pinot Noir has the oldest and (to me) the best tasting grapes.

I really like Adelshiem Pinot Noir. It's an Oregon Pinot that is very fruity and well balanced.

If your looking for great wines, also try anything in the Banfi line. They are Italian wines that are inexpensive, but have won many awards and taste great.

Also- remember that in Europe they have been making wines for thousands of years. American wines can be great, but you have a better chance of finding some great stuff in Western European wines.

Good Luck

i only tasted one cheapest and the worst -RUBY WINE.

Gallo Tawney Port.

I'm not a huge wine drinker, but I recently tried a white wine called Saracco. It's from Italy and sort of bubbling, kind of like a champagne. It's sweet, not dry. I really liked it.

The best tasting wine is in the eye of the drinker. You can get some really good 3 buck chuck and some really bad expensive wine. Key is to stick with what you like. I like yellow tail sharaz, ravenswood merlot, and most anything from robert mondavi and sterling.

Two Frogs, Woodbridge, Four Brothers and Robert mondavi.
A less expensive wine is Glen Ellen, it's very good. I like the dry red wines. They are great. One Dr. I worked for had a wine cooler, and i fixed it for her. I was fortunate enough for her to pay me and give me a bottle of Merlot. I don't remember the name of it, but i felt like i was floating in the clouds after I drank it. I found out late the wine was $80.00 a bottle. I forgot to write the name of the wine down because i knew I'd never be able to afford it.

cheap red wine is really dry, and i love it.

Try Argentinian Malbec- its very complex wine for not a lot of money and makes you seem like you know what you are talking about at parties rather than plopping out a bordeaux, zinf, shiraz, cabby sauv.....
Also try the highly alcoholic monastrel - its fun trying to find food to match that one!
Another one is mourvedre - that is a red that can be chilled with interesting results.
Ignore Robert Mondavi - he is a snob of the highest order and is largely to blame for the harsh metallic wines coming out of the states.

I love dessert wines. I don't know how to spell them, but try Auslase, Spatlase, Reislings. They are rather sweet and fruity. Check your area, too, to see if there is a winery anywhere around. They have wine tastings and maybe you and your friends can make a day of it. Also, have a wine and cheese party and have your friends bring a bottle of wine and some cheese (not the normal chedder and swiss) and experiement. Have your own wine tasting.

I would have to say Porto Wine. I don't really like wine, however I will drink Porto Wine because it has a sweet taste to it and its not bitter at all.

I love German white wine. not the dreadful Blue Nun or cheap co-operative Hock though.

Try to find a Gewurztraminer.

Delightful with white meat ot fish dishes.

This depends on personal taste!

pinot grigio, pinot noir, and shiraz--they are all good

Quails Gate makes an awesome Ice wine. Try that.

It depends on your taste.

Trader Joe has the best and the cheapest wines. $2.00 per bottle, try different ones, you can buy by the case or by the bottle.

Wine is one item that has a huge priece range, $2.00 per botlle to thousans of $ per bottle.

Most wines are blended to keep the same flavour, textur,---,---,---.

But people say or talk about them as "it was a good year for certain brand of wine". Or it was a very good year, or even an excellant year.

Lieffermilch makes some very good wine and it's not extremely expensive. It also depends on what type of wine you like. (dry, very dry, red, white, etc) I am not sure of the spelling of the brand above, but it should be close.

red truck, a red wine
yellow tail, Chardonnay
Red bicycle-a red wine
sutter home Riesling sweet wine
I also like the wine the penguins on the bottle but can't think of the name.
big house- a red wine.
I hope this gives you some ideas. These are some of my favorites a love to drink a glass of wine when I get home from work at night.

That is impossiable to answer.
we each have many we enjoy.
but look at what is available here

Terra unica, its a cheap date but good

Cavet, the Pinot Noir is quite nice

Rex Goliath, all are quite pleasant

Caun Covet ( not sure if thats the spelling) but its really quite lovely.

Here are some you not have tried yet that I find very good:

Frogg's Leap winery in Napa makes my favorite zinfandel I have tried to date.

If you like Napa cab, splurge for a bottle of Robert Mondavi reserve sometime, you will be surprised how much better it is than the usual.

Real champagne. Especially Vieve Cliquot vintage bottlings, or Le Grand Damme.

I happen to especially like french reds with a touch of bret to them. This gives the wine more of an earthy, mushroom or woodsy flavour. Just about anything from Chateauneuf de Pape, or any Premier or Grand Cru burgundies...hmm I like good burgundies. Be sure to let these french reds "open up" a bit before serving, like an hour in a decanter.

I also am a fan of Spanish grenacha. Can't remember any brands off hand. Saint Emillion wines as well.

For inexpensive wine I love the yellow tail cabernet-merlot or the shiraz for not much more you can try Menage a Trois bottled by Folie Deux winery in napa valley the Red is the best I also tried the Rose and it wasnt half bad. But definately the red is a must. I love a good wine that i can actually taste the flavors described on the bottle these wines do that. and for the price they are well worth it.
