Answers: Ice always melts faster in my gin or whiskey then if I drinking ice water. Why is that?

The thermal conductivity of alcohol is higher than water. In other words, the alcohol accepts the coldness of the ice faster and exchanges the coldness of the ice with the atmosphere more easily than water.

because most alcochol is room temp and water is cool becouse out of the faust it is comming from underground which is cool.. but to solve this problem i keep my vodka and gin in the fridge or freezer before i mix it with ice...

happy drinking...

If you're alcohol is stocked in a bar at room temperature then that is the reason why right there.
It's no different then taking a bottle of water at room temp and then putting it over ice.
Put your "liqs" in the freezer (alcohol WON'T freeze) and you'll be all good.
