California Cabernet Sauvignon and Extra Sharp Cheddar.
Not fancy or exotic. A perfect classic with a bold taste.
I have found quite a few wonderful desert wines made at the Peaks of Otter Winery in Virginia. They make a blueberry wine that is absolutely delicious over vanilla ice cream or cheesecake.
I also prefer a good chardonay with some edam or gouda.
Niagra wine is soooo good it has such a crisp clean yummy tatse and it is good with anything! Try it out
Its rare for cheese and wine to match well at all. Try having different dark chocolates with red wine, thats a more interesting thing to do.
I like Yellow Tail Shiraz-Merlot Mix and Swiss Cheese
Greyure with chardonnay or burgundy.
Sharp cheddar with sparkling wine.
St Andre with chard or burgundy....hmm, st andre is soooo good.
Chocolate with Napa cab is good too.
I posted something on this the other day, but my favorite wine and cheese paring is a nice smoked fontina cheese, with a dry reisling.
