Question:

If you can't drink much alcohol are you called a lightweight?

is that how you spell the word lightweight when refering to somebody that can't stomach much alcohol?

Answers:
Yes, but that shouldn't encourage people to drink more than their personal limit for fear of being called a lightweight!

yes

well before u drink eat a couple peaces of bread and dont drink drinks with alot of alcohol with high profes

Yes that is the correct expression.

Some other expressions for someone who can't drink much alcohol without feeling overwhelming effects:

Cheap Date
Shot glass
Party Pooper
Loser
Weakling

yes

no actually you live longer

yeah, but its if u get drunk very quickly after not much to drink

yes.. its nothing to be ashamed of though.. dont make yourself ill to stop people from calling you one

Yes and i'm one of them!

yep i'm a lightweight - two glasses of wine and I can't walk! :P

Yes, but look on the bright side.... nights out are cheaper!

And here I was thinking they were called Julie... oh wait, that is my sister's name!! But in our family they mean the SAME thing!!! he he he... Don't tell her I told!!

that is how you spell it......and sometimes i'm called a lightweight....but i'm not getting trash faced and making myself ill and look stupid trying to keep up with others....and my friends understand my reasons.....so that's the main thing.

no youre not, saying no is a damn sight harder than getting rat faced.... i dont drink anymore, i sort of lost the taste after a long spell in hospital... i do like a drink, but maybe 3 or 4 times a year... and my mates accept it... i stay sober, mainly because im driving, and because i dont like what it turns me into...

Yes it is. Based on references to the like of wrestling/boxing. Eating before drinking is a good idea. Keep in mind though, foods with high fat contents in general won't help much. Foods such as breads, cereals and proteins will stay in you longer and slow the alcohol dispersal around your body. Also avoid high sugar/carbonated drinks. Water is good in between.

I don't think its how much u drink its what kind u drink. For example people believe that if they drink Lite beer they can drink more of it but when it comes down to it you'll end up drinking more of it. So your not drinking less calories, you are drinking more claories in the end.

that would be correct

But I don't do it.

Yup, that's correct.

The spelling is correct but the implication is dangerous. Be your own person and consume only what you are comfortable with, without regard to others "tag" stereotypes they may try and place on you. Trying to keep up with others often leaves one in less than desirable personal/legal situations, the one whose behaviors are influenced by something other than what they know is right for themselves.

Yep thats it... i'm proud to be a lightweight... all it means that I spend less to get drunk and have a great time. not so silly after all eh?!?!

Yes
