What are the best temperatures to drink whisky and scotch-whisky?!

Question: I buyed a bottle of Jack Daniels whisky, and a bottle of Johnny Walker Red Label scotch-whisky and I wondered what are the temperatures they tastes the best, because I know that some alcohols are best drinked at room's temperature, or even warm (sake can be drinked either cold or warm).

Without wishing to sound rude, you sound like a novice in the Whiskey/Whisky stakes .. if you're drinking American Whiskey .. it's best sipped at room temperature .. hence the nickname 'sipping whiskey' .. you mentioned JW (which I personally find the worst in the world) try drinking it with ice and Coke or Pepsi, it goes a long way to disguising its disgusting oily taste . now for REAL whisky try a single malt, icy cold, no ice, no water just put the glass of nectar in the freezer for several hours and then crack through he surface ice (it's the water they use to dilute at the distillery) and drink the pure nectar of the gods that is underneath .. not sure where you live but look for a GOOD Single Malt, such as Longmorn, Glendronach, Caol isla - but if necessary settle for Glenmorangie or Glenfiddich, both a tad young but drinkable

dependds on what yoou like, Try some on the rocks (ice) try it at room temperature, try heating it a little , very little.... no on can tell you what you will like. I pesonally like mine on the rocks, does not mean you will

Room temperature or slightly heated with a safe flame or the microwave is the optimum temperature to enjoy whiskeys, especially the scotches. Icing whiskeys makes them easier to go down, but you are sacrificing their magnificent aromas and flavor nuances.

By the way, whiskeys are best drunk with just a drop of water added. You mention two great whiskeys: Jack Daniels and JW Red Label. Also try the Blue Label and another brand, Maker's Mark. As these get to be expensive, diluting and chilling them with ice or mixers is not recommended.

I do recommend trying smoked cheeses as a complement to single-malt whiskeys and Scotches, such as the peaty Laphroiag, a name which means "the beautiful hollow by the broad bay."

I don't like the ones you mention, but I like good single malt scotches, and for me, it's best at room temp for sipping.
If you want a great single malt that won't break the bank, try Highland Park (the 12 year--the older ones start getting way more expensive)--you can find this as cheap as $28 a bottle in some discount warehouses.

If any ice in Scotch, you'll get shot in Scotland.
Room temperature, no ice, no water.
