Holden's made in the Black Country. But I was the cellar man and bar manager at the time - so the pipes were clean and everything. It is also real ale so needs to settle. The yeast it's made from smells a little like vomit - and so if it's not kept right - it tastes fine - smells foul!

Um, I'm not sure if it's independant but try Natural Lite. It's really cheap and I don't know if you can find it in wherever you live.

Tangle Foot by Hall and Woodhouse.

In the US i am getting into the micro breweries in Michigan. They have some great Dark Beers.

I would have to say Shepheard Neame beer made in Faversham Kent. But as I grew up next door to the family I would be a little biased
Spitfire is thier best

I have had Smithwick's. Think that is from UK.

Pete's Wicked Ale and Magic Hat #9 are my all time faves for micros.

Guinness and Harp for the bigs.

A few great names:
Geary's
Ipswitch Ale
Fordham Copperhead
Fat Tire

Just came back from Dublin. Guinness without a doubt

Dos Eqquis - means roman numeral xx. It is a German recipe that was immigrated to Mexico many years ago and I think their Especial Lager is the best.Since it is sold in the States I guess that makes it an English beer?

Windy Goat Ale from SCOTLAND

Upland Wheat Ale. It's brewed in Bloomington, IN. Or Blue Moon spring ale is also tasty.
