Does unopened wine and beer go bad if I take it out of the fridge?!

Question:

Does unopened wine and beer go bad if I take it out of the fridge?

I just had a party last weekend so I have a ton of beer and wine left over in the fridge. It's taking up a good amount of space so I was hoping to take it out of the fridge but I'm worried that it might go bad if I do. Does anyone know?

Answers:
I have heard that, but I'm not sure if it is true...I'll tell you what I do though...

We buy new beer drink it, and then drink the old stuff, b/c by then we are too wasted to know the difference anyway... :D

beer is usually good for 6 months unopened and unopened wine is good forever!

wine gets better with age!

They don't refrigerate it while fermenting-

beer gets to a point where it tastes like butt if it goes too long outside a fridge. It wont hurt you, but it could hurt your pride.

the wine will be ok but not the beer, once it becomes frigerated its needs to stay there, if u take it out an dput it in warmth it will become "skunked" meaning turn bad and tatse like crap!

not really and kind of... well it depends. Wine is very sensitive to temperature change and light stimulation. And it will not last forever unopened as someone else sugested. If you plan on drinking the wine in the next few months you will be fine. But, good wine that goes through temperature changes rapidly can go through flaver changes. So if you do take it out of the fridge put it in a cool place like your basement and away from sunlight and stuff like that. If you just throw it in your kitchen cabinets you will be opening a expensive bottle of vinigar in the future.

Beer is a little tougher but you should follow the same precautions, basement and dark place. If beer is in a brown bottle and is kept away from light it will not get skunky. Temperature changes doesn't make a beer skunky light breakdown does.

red wine will be ok the temp does not matter with it the mixing with the air once it has opened is what kills it. white yes it will go bad if you have opened it and chilled it.

beer is only good for about 6-8 months but its not too sensitive in enviromental changes .wine doesnt have an expiring date but you have to store it carefully.try putting the wine in dry and cool enviroment placing the bottles horizontally so the cork doesnt dry and it will be all right for some time

beer will lose its flavor if its out, oxidation occurs and u get flat beer, wine, u can recool it
