Question about Patron...?!

Question: Patron is absolutely my favorite tequila in the world. The thing is, I am curious about the bee (I think it's a bee) that is used on their label. Does it have any significance?

The founder of Patron, served in the US Navy on the aircraft carrier "USS Hornet"
"John Paul DeJoria (born in 1944 in Los Angeles) is famous as a former homeless man who went on to form two billion dollar businesses.

Mr DeJoria graduated high school in 1962 and joined the Navy, which assigned him to the USS Hornet.
After leaving the military, he became homeless & lived in his car. His son lived with him. When his son was two, he went to public daycare. John Paul would collect soda cans, making $2.00 a day. Enough for them to eat off of.

In 1980, he founded John Paul Mitchell Systems with his business partner Paul Mitchell. He later went on to form The Patrón Spirits Company."

I don't think it has any significance. Patron is made from the agave cactus just like all tequilla.

yea pareon is definetly the best drink out there, but i dont think the bee has anything to do with it

nope just decoration

The bee is just part of the logo, just like No 7 logo on Jack Daniels. You could try eating bees if you'd like. But tequila doesn't come from bees.

Tequila is made from a plant called an agave plant that is similar to a cactus but is actually a succulent. When harvesting an agave you cut off all of the needle like leaves and are left with the center called a pina. The pina has a sweet honey like smell and taste hence the bee logo. Only the sweet heart of the plant is used in Patron.

The patrione Bee pollinates the agave cactus.
