Why does german wine (reisling) give me a headache whereas south African?!

Question:

Why does german wine (reisling) give me a headache whereas south African?

Chardonnay does not?.

Answers:
I think its because reisling is a sweeter wine where as chardonnay is alot drier.

dark alcohol has more Congeners than light colored alcohol and thats what makes u sickly

Riesling is a sweet wine, Sweet wines or liquor give people killer hangover's. Drink Beer

Sorry but Reisling is not a sweet wine folks!

German alcoholic beverages also usually have alot more alocool in them then your probably used to incase you didnt know that. German beer has alot more than american beer
maybe thats it??

i have never tried reisling but i would say german wines may either be stronger tasting or have more alcohol in them

Not all riesling are sweet. The best Riesling from Germany is quite dry. If you pay less than $20 per bottle for a Riesling, it is probably fruity. Typically, Auslese being the fruitiest and Kabinet the least. Alcohol related headache is cause by dehydration so drinking lots of water before during and after wine help reduce headache. If you have to take pain killer, take Ibuprofen instead of Aspirin. Aspirin will rid your body's ability to get rid of toxins.

I guess you don't like Reisling. I find most Reislings very soothing, with a little bit more consistancy than a Pinot. It could be something within your own personal chemistry. Personally, I don't handle Port Wines very well (I think their body reminds me of Nyquil, but much sweeter.)

As for South African Chardonnays, I don't touch them much unless someone hands me a bottle. I really think South Africa and California are on parr with each other, with some Austrailian brands showing up too. As many wine snobs do, I like a lot of French Chards.

Personally though, I like Italian wines the best.

If I can suggest a great wine to you though that's both affordable, and a great summer wine, I'd say Cesari's Due Tori Pinot Grigio is the way to go. Fresh and Fruity, this wine is great to enjoy chilled, on a sunny day.

For all you Red Wine fans, Carpiento makes a great wine called Dogajolo. This Red Table wine is a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, and retails for about $11-$12 a bottle US, but will blow your mind with scents of fruit, coffee, vanilla, and spices. It has a very full flavor, but is really soft on your pallate. A great buy for a Red Wine lover.

Because the wine is sweeter
