Blackwater.A private militia?!

Question: Blackwater? Hmmmmm.....This is very interesting. An Amway owned private militia. Now, if any of us formed a militia wouldn't we be considered a terrorist threat?
Since when was the US military no longer good enough to protect our diplomats? Why the need for this private group? Who is profiting from this? Amway? Very interesting...

You may be going over the top, but you have made me curious. Obviously Blackwater is profiting from it, and the military is freed from bodyguard duty to handle other duties they have there.

You made me wonder--What do you have to do to be allowed to store automatic weapons and train a staff to use them? Have them available for hire by the government? Is only the government allowed to hire them? And if I build a squad of mercenaries and the government doesn't want to hire them, can I still keep them? If I save my money, can I buy a fighter jet?

I've heard some say that corporations will someday be more powerful than governments. If we allow them to arm themselves (in ways private citizens cannot) it is almost certain.

I give this question my official stamp for stupidity. Please immediately delete this question and then beat yourself unconscious. Thank you.

rather than face the reaction to a military draft, Bush is throwing billions at these private armies to patrol in Iraq. Isn't that what Fascists do?

Totally the wrong category.

The military is streatched pretty thin. We have the right to form a company of any kind. Then the gov will tell you if its legal, Im sure. It would appear that blackwater is legal, and are needed to compenate for our military shortage in the theater of operation. The profit goes to the company known as wlackwater usa. Co founder erick princewas one of the founders of the security company.
