Can someone under 21 bring alcohol back into the United States? legally?!
Answers: My girlfriend is in mexico, and of course she is able to buy alcohol there but can she bring it back with her when she comes back, and she is under 21.
when i went to Cancun for my senior trip (05) i brought a couple bottles of rum and vodka in my bag and they did not say anything but i didnt get checked too hard but they did have a drug dog just smelling us as we walked by which scared me b/c i also was sneakin in some cuban cigars but i think that dog was just for steriods and drugs
I would imagine it depends on the minimum drinking age set by the state she will entering when she comes back to the US.
As far as I know you have to be 21 anywhere in the U.S.
They might take it. I also think the limit on how much you bring back is set too like 2 bottles limit. I would tell her to see if she can mail it back rather than them search her and get in trouble. Most of the stuff she can buy in Mexico you can have your liquor store order for you here. Scary stuff to have on your record.. Tell her to be careful
