just kiddin that's just how i do it....
if i was to chase i would have to base my chaser on what i'm drinking.
Whisky is best chased by cola.... but different colas for different whisky.
Bourbon=Coke
Canadian=Pepsi
Scotch just should never be chased.
Any clear alcohol i chase with some kind of juice. i perfer orange but any will work. base your juice on the flavor of rum or vodka
ex: coconut rum=pineapple juice
citrus vodka=orange juice

clear alcohol (vodka, gin, etc) shoot with light/clear drinks (7-up, juice, etc.) dark alcohol (whiskey, rum, jager, etc) shoot with dark soda (dr. pepper, pepsi, coke, etc.)
It depends on what you are shooting. Water if you have nothing else works okay. I think Sprite works with pretty much anything.
Ginger Ale is a great chaser. It will cleanse your pallete. Trust me, I'm a bartender. But if you are chasing after a shot, then it would all depend on the shot.
