Is the straw magic?!

Question:

Is the straw magic?

If you sip alcohol right out of the glass, it makes you a little tipsy right, but if you suck it up a straw, why do get more drunk and faster? its the weirdest thing but it really does happen like that. i want a real reason why this happens.

Answers:
this dosen't happen... you must be drinking a higher percentage of alcoholic drink or drinking it faster... there's just no evidence that a straw has anything to do with increasing alcohol content. when you drink through a straw you don't notice but your drinking it faster, with less oxygen!

The lack of oxygen when you sip through the straw, combined with the rate of consumption when drinking through a straw, combines to help the alcohol enter your system quicker.

People have said it is to do with the amount of oxygen intake. But I thought it was a myth.

these new alco straws are good

Actually you're just drinking faster when you drink out of a straw. That's why you get drunk faster. Conduct an experiment....time yourself to see how long it takes to drink a drink out of a glass then time yourself to see how long it takes to drink it with a straw. You will see that I'm correct.

Alcohol tends to separate from mixer and as it is heavier, it settles at the bottom of the glass. The straw makes you drink right from the bottom, so you get a strong alcohol hit right from the first sip.

No idea about it.

Nope. No magic straws in this bar. The only magic is that you can make that drink disappear really fast.

its the bubbles in the mixers that get the alcohol into the bloodstream quicker.

actually it is the oppisite if you drink it out of a straw it makes you drunk faster as you do not inhale oxygen while you drink out of a straw but if you drink from the glass it is better
