When a bottle of drink says "21 degrees proof", what is the percentage of alcohol?!

Question: 10.5% alcohol...the amount of proof is twice the amount of alcohol.

Answers: 10.5% alcohol...the amount of proof is twice the amount of alcohol.

21% alcohol ... im pretty sure

It is 10.5%

10.5% alcohol. Just half the proof to get the percent alcohol. Kinda stupid.

Proof is the % X2.

1/2 of the proof number is the percentage. Wild Turkey is 101 proof or 50.5 % alcohol.

Jim Beam 80 proof- so 40%

I hope that helps.

Alcoholic proof is a measure of how much ethanol is in an alcoholic beverage. The value on the label is approximately twice the actual percentage of alcohol by volume.
So 21 proof is about 10.5% alcohol by volume.

10.5 probably a liquiour

whatever the proof divde by 2 and you have the %
