Question:

Grenadine syrup?

what is the best recipy for steak with grenadine syrup

Answers:
Forget about putting grenadine syrup on the steak.
Put a little bit of grenadine in a tall glass of ice with tequila and orange juice.
A Tequila Sunrise.
Then, enjoy it with a steak slathered with barbecue sauce.

Grenadine syrup on a steak? two words... Yu uk! ;-) a good cut like ribeye steak 1-1/2 Inches thick, needs only salt and fresh ground pepper cooked over a high flame to break down the fat. I use melted butter over the steak while cooking to increase the flame. After the steak is cooked, I let it rest for 5 minutes and pour the juices from the steak over it. It doesn't get any better than that. Grenadine is cherry juice, I have never tried this on a steak, but I would never cover up the flavor of a good steak with anything. Just my opinion through 30 years of cooking steaks. :-)

I have never heard of that for steak but it might taste okay with a teriyaki/soy sauce base and alot of pepper.

I am pretty sure that grenadine is a sweetened concentrate of pomegranate juice. The only way I can see using this with steak is combining with a veal or beef stock at a very low ratio of grenadine to stock...maybe with some chili flake and peppercorns and reduced to a demi. I'm not sure, but i don't think this would be too bad. If I were to do this, I think I would just use regular pomegranate juice and not grenadine though...the actual syrup is crap.

cherry steak? ok... amm try dinner wine with steak sauce and a splash of grenadine
