What's the best beer I've never heard of?
For the record, I like a beer that has a full bodied flavor, a nice balance of malt and hops and one that finishes cleanly.

Stella Artois is Belgian Budweiser---it is white trash beer in Belgium--choosing amongst all the fantastic Belgian beers and picking Stella is like ordering a $200 dollar kobe steak and ordering it extra well done: a great tragedy
Try: Rochefort, Leffe, Kasteel, Hoegarden, Abbey des Rocs, Maredsous, Het Kapittel, anything but Stella.
As for domestics, I agree with rusholme: the beers by Victory are awesome, especially Storm King and Old Horizontal
Red Stripe (Jamaica)
Steel Reserve 211 I don't know if you ever heard of it, But I like it and it gives you a pretty decent buzz.
Oasis, especially their ESB
you need to let us know what you haven't heard of first
For your tastes, I'd have to say Unibroue 15. Unibroue is a Canadian brewery headed by a Belgian brewmaster. The "15" was their 15th anniversary ale and was the best they've made since the even-better Unibroue 10, which you'll never find anywhere. Even the 15 is tough - that was last year. 16 is out now, but is inferior in comparison. Good luck finding either one!

How about Blue Moon Winter Wheat Pilsner? Or Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale? They rock!
How about Founders Breakfast Stout, for a domestic. Maybe Aventinus for an import.
Try Black Butte Porter from the Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon. Its balanced nicely and the chocolate undertone is best enhanced if it is not served ice cold. If you want a bit hopper then try Inversion IPA by the same brewery.
Troegs Dreamweaver wheat.
Saint Arnolds amber ale but only available in TX
Another vote for Yuengling.
