i bartended for a while. if a guy flirted with me, i wouldn't tell them either way if i had a boyfriend or not. flirt back, have fun. If anyone ever straight out asked me if i had a boyfriend i'd say something such as "will this affect my tip?" and laugh. just be cheeky about it. you don't have to shoot them down, but you don't have to feel vulnerable either. you're the one in control of the booze...they'll treat ya nice no matter what. :)
good luck

Just tell them you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend, subtely and politely, and they should back off.

Expect it. But don't wear bikini tops and such.

politely turn them down.

Tell them the bouncer is your boyfriend.

`if you would like to be a bouncer/doorman my fella`s hiring`

wear a ring on your ring finger and tell them your married. Usually this will stop guys in there tracks

say 1. you are in a relationship with your girlfriend
2. you only drink Dom perrignon
3. looking for a farther figure...

on the other hand, don't try three, they got me...

Run with it, you'll get more tips

...and the advice about not wearing revealing clothing is the worst possible advice if you want to be making money (which you are since you want to work as a bartender).

just ignore them, or simply say, """eat your heart out buddie""""treat everyone the same, do a good job and you won't have any problems, its the same with being a waitress. if you no how to kiss a--, you will do great.

Yes you will have guys hit on you, I am a bartender. Just do your job and worry about that when the time comes. You are behind a bar, just act busy. Or you could always wear a fake wedding band, but then if you like him your screwed.

Just smile and ignore him. You'll get all sorts of f'ed up propositions from drunk guys on the other side of the bar. If they get out of control, call the cops.

Be sweet and think on your tip, and don't get involve in deep conversation face to face. you will give hem to much confidence

Oh, they like to flirt and see how far it gets them. if they ask you out say, just smile and say "I'm sorry I'll have to decline." Saying you've got a main squeeze already won't always help, then they think that's the only reason you won't go out with them. If you flat-out shoot them down nicely, their pride will stop them from asking again.

My friends hubby used to be a bouncer and the girls would hit on him aaaaallll the time and he'd tell them "i'm here to work, not break hearts" and give them a wink. Cuz even if he said he was married, sure enough women still pursued him.

do not flirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try to be of good assistance in a polite way

u might get tempted at times to smash some bottles or glass but it is natural

you can tell them
1. i dont date customers
2. my boyfriend is behind the bar with me

guys automatically hit on female bartenders. you're the first one that go to at the bar and the first thing they see when drunk. just keep smiling but say no in a polite way to keep your tips rolling in.

Keep in mind that you're the hostess of the party, not a whore. It's okay to tell them that you're not on the market. I used to work at a gay club and would tell my customers, "I'm not gay, but I love the attention!" Worked fine for me. Let a guy know that, while you love having him and his buddies at your bar (even if it's not exactly true), you're not going home with him, no matter how much he drinks. My wife (before we were married) would tell patrons that she had a strict policy of not taking customers home, but they could see her every Friday and Saturday at the club. You can even tell guys to piss-off. Done right, they'll sort of get the hint and throw even more money your way.

I have read that all bartenders should wear a wedding band, whether you are married or not.
If anyone hits on you, just make sure they see the ring, and that will usually end it.
Anyone who is not dissuaded by that, would probably not be dissuaded by anything at all.

One of the one;s I;ve been told is that she's a lesbian.
Other's told the truth, they had bf's or weren't interested.
The third way, tell them you can't due to business protocols/politics.
