Answers: tryin Samuel Adams Winter Brew.....i say it gets about a 6.5, the Octoberfest they had was a lil better.
Yeah the winter Lager isn't for me either. I am quite fond of the White Ale that comes out in January. Its a bit weird though - spices. But I really like it.
I bought some Abita Pecan HArvest that is very good - its new. But unless you live near New Orleans (I'm in Memphis) then you might not be able to get it.

I don't think the Winter Lager is new... just seasonal. I think I'd give it a higher rating than you did. But I don't compare the beers, because they are all meant to be different... and seasonal beers do seem to have a uniqueness about them.

Yeah, the Winter Brew is good, but I also like their Porter. Some of my friends love the Ol' Fezziwig, but it's a little "out there" for me. All of the above can be found on the Sam's Holliday Variety Case.
