Well, it is easy to a heavy drinker to be convince to go to the treatment program?!
Answers: I doubt it unless they have said they want to go. Until the person admits they have a drinking problem they will not go....doesn't matter how many people have said they drink too much either or how many problems their drinking has caused in their life...they will be in denial and make excuses. A heavy drinker will only go once they admit they need help.
No, unless they admit they have a problem and want the help.
No, they will not get help until they want it. I kept trying to get my brother to go but he wouldn't We had to let him hit rock bottom before he realized. He has now been totally clean for a year! Just be there for them and continue to support them.
I personally know several heavy drinkers...My uncle Rob in particular says "he is a professional drinker"...So not until that heavy drinker admits they have a problem....
Yes, it is easy. They probably know they aren't healthy.
Not really, I should know. I was a heavy drinker for 3 years, and I thought that I could drink forever...Until I got so bad that I had to have 3 shots of vodka before I could get out of bed.. I had to have a near death experience before I realised I needed help. My advice is keep on trying to get them help, but don't pressure them too much. The person has to really want to get help before then really quit, hopefully they get the help before it's to late. Best of luck to you and your friend
yes and no if thy are beaten and have hit there bottom and can admit thy have a problem easy but it is not easy to stay with it only about 5% make it the first year good luck
