Whats everyones favourite beer? mine is "budvar" a budweiser brewed in the south of the czech republic!
i like leffe (brun - not blond) and this other fab belgian beer Bellevue Kriek which is made from sour cherries (drooooool)
we live in australia though - so unless it's somethingorother bitter (ie LOCAL), it's expensive.

Good old-Fashioned Bud Light. Nothings better. Except Johnnie Walker, any label, they're great.
I have heard of the budvar you are talking about. I need to get to atlanta and try to get it at one of the international markets. My favorite is a bulgarian beer made in stara zagora. I do not know the name but it has stara zagora on the can and it comes in a green can. I also really like a czech beer, pilsner urkel. Great stuff.
In all my travels, I have to say that Red Horse beer from the Philippines is my all time favorite. Sure, in the South Pacific you can get a pint of the stuff for about $0.50, but still here in the states, it's worth drinking. It has a nice, smooth, light, malt flavor that is easy to enjoy on any occasion. But don't let that fool you-- it's got at least 7% alcohol content which means you'll get a lot happier a lot faster without that fierce finish. I've shared it with all my best buds and they all agree-- this stuff kicks ***. If you're in California, go to your local import liquor depot and look for some. You can try the local Asian markets as well. It's great stuff. Cheers to beers! ;)
El Toro Brewing Company's amber ale: Poppy Jasper. Brewed in my home town of Morgan Hill, CA and it ROCKS!!
Warning: unlike bud, budvar, bud lite, etc., this beer actually has Flavor. Ooooo...it's just full of hoppy goodness.
**wipes foam off upper lip and sighs contentedly**
Thomas Hardy Ale (a barley wine)
I like Indian beers like Kingfisher, also Japanese beers are good. Kirin and Anhassi (especially anhassi black) are really good. I probably mispelled those last two though.
Victoria Bitter
Coopers red
Cascade
G. Heilmans Old Style Beer, Fully Krausened,& Naturally Carbonated,( look closely at the can and you will see )
Sierra Nevada Wheat!! CHICO BEER RULES!!
new castle and Heineken
Castle Lager (I am proudly South African)
Windhoek
Tiger Beer
Peroni
Amstel lager...
So many more... ;)
1] Gambrinus (Plzen, Czech Rep.)
2] Budvar (sells overseas as Czechvar) (?. Budějovice, CR)
3] Stella Artois (Belgium)
4] Tuborg (Denmark)
5] Carlsberg (Denmark)
6] Heineken (Netherlands)
... this could be a long list...
Domestics I would go with Yuengling and Samuel Adams. Imports, Smithwick's Irish Ale, Guinness, and Murphy's Irish Stout.
And then I also like microbrewed beer.
I avoid the macrobrewed dreck that is A-B, Miller, and Coors, as well as any other brewery that puts marketability and profits over quality.
I love Samuel Smith Tadcaster Oatmeal Stout. Only had it a couple of times then the brewery was sold from England to America and now noone stocks it. Very disappointed cos it was delish.
mine is becks or vb :)
