Galliano or Sambuca?!

Question: I've tried both and they taste about the same, which do you like?

Sambuca for me, with three coffee beans floating on top (said to represent the Holy Trinity) and then setting it on fire to extract the lovely coffee bean flavour.

im pretty sure galliano is a brand of sambuca.. thats why they taste the same!

i am never drinking another sambuca in my life - long story you don't want to know, lets just say that it happened 10 years ago on my 18th birthday

Sambuca is pure anise liqueur from Italy of which there are many brands including Romana, Ramzotti, Luxardo. First commercial brand showed up most places in 1801.
Galliano is a brand created in 1896. There is only one Galliano and its a secret recipe of various herbs and botanicals including It is a blend of over 30 ingredients such as star anise, peppermint, ginger, saffron, citrus, and vanilla. Its now owned by Bols and is produced in France.

I like Sambuca because it is pure anise. I'm not a vanilla fan so I find Galliano too sweet. I mix it Sambuca into my coffee or with some ice cold water.
