Looking for sweet wine/champagne?!

Question:

Looking for sweet wine/champagne?

I'm looking for wine or champagne that is not very expensive, and is really really sweet. Something similar to the flavor of wine coolers. Something that tastes fruity and sweet, so there isn't a lot of that vinegar taste or whatever it is that some of them have. If anyone could give me some tips I would appreciate it! I don't drink wine or champagne, but wanted to try one of them and I love wine coolers and wanted a wine or champagne like that. Thank you again!

Answers:

Most wine companies, even cheaper brands, offer a White Zinfandel which is a nice, light and sweet wine. It'll be a good substitute for your beloved wine coolers because it is quite, quite tasty. And if you want to avoid the bitter "vinegar"y wines: never buy anything that is described as "dry."

For a very very very sweet wine, try a "dessert wine".

For an off the shelf cheap sweet wine, try any of the "Wild Vines" brands. They are all good and fruity.

The way I find wines I like is to call the vineyards or wine stores and find out when they have their wine tasting days. Then I just ask for the sweet one!!

try lambrusco or any sparkling wine, they're usually sweet, also sangria.

stella rosa red wine. it's soo good! the whole office is hooked on it. It can be found online i believe it comes from texas but your local winery should be able to get it for you. Taste like fruit punch with bubbles

I'm very big on Rieslings. They range from mildly sweet to borderline dessert wine. Always go for the German or Afican rieslings. They're the best and reasonably priced.

tasti asti-champagne, sweet and cheap. try the arbor mists esp if you like wine coolers. They're a couple a bucks a bottle.

Martini asti spumante for a sparking wine, Or Manishevitz concord grape or Riunite D'oro Enjoy

My wife likes sweet wine....try Moscato (white) or Lambrusco (red)
