i don't think there is anything wrong with a social drink but most people are not able to drink that way so maybe they should make it illegal. as for cannabis i think it is the same but some peolpe use it for illnessis like ms and so on. only problem is there is no way to control the two the these. so maybe they should make them both illegall. but then again that's just my opinion and i don't do either of these drugs.
too much of either substance is bad for you. A recent report place alcohol as a substance which cast the taxpayers more money in medical bills than cannabis. I don't think that it took into account that one is freely available whilst the other is illegal and not as widely used, but I can understand their reasoning. My personal view is that cannabis should be made legal. It appears not to be as harmful as say smoking or alcohol, being illegal makes more people use it and fuels the illegal trading and the criminal side of dealing, it also means that it cannot be taxed if it is illegal.All substances which alter a persons view of reality can be abused including chocolate. This does not mean that they should be made illegal.
Alcohol should be one of the most illegal substances out there and marijuana should be a legal substance. There are no real benefits about alcohol (except maybe the ability to drink to the point of forgetting your own name for a short while) whereas marijuana has proven medical benefits-not to mention other perks as well!! Have you EVER heard of someone stoned on marijuana alone going out and hitting someone with their car on the way home? Or robbing the local 7-11 store for cash to buy more stuff? NO!! Most are too stoned to want to drive, and at the worst someone might steal a chocolate bar or something to help with the munchies! Alcohol-illegal Marijuana-legal

That is a great question. Reminds me of this older gentleman I know who totally disliked & disrespected young people because according 2 him "all young people do is smoke a lot of weed".
Incidentally, this guy was a total alcoholic whose wife left him because he used 2 abuse her when he got drunk, which was almost every day.
But to him drinking & smoking weed was not the same thing. Weed was evil & made young people do bad things.
My opinion is that something is legal or illegal only because the law makes it so. And sometimes the law is used only to enforce the financial well-being of particular individuals. At one time alcohol was actually illegal.
Anything used excessively is bad for one's health & that includes food, water & even our own lifegiving oxygen & nitrogen. Too much of anything will kill you.
I like doing both at the same time. I'm glad alcohol is legal. I wish cannabis was to because sometimes it a pain to find.
