Will a champagne bottle break easier if full or half empty?!

Question:

Will a champagne bottle break easier if full or half empty?

I want to hit it over the bow of my boat for good luck when I launch it today.

Answers:
A full bottle is used to launch a ship. If you hit the bottle on its side it will probably brake easily.Cover it with a type of mesh so when it brakes the most of the glass will stay in the mesh.

Half empty, the pressure on the inside will be lower so the pressure on the outside will require less energy/force to get in. Of course I always thought the bottle was supposed to be full when Christening a ship.

Full.
