Why do people drink beer in paper bags in public?!

Question: Because it's against the law to have an open container in public. They are just hiding the container.

Answers: Because it's against the law to have an open container in public. They are just hiding the container.

a forty doesnt taste right without a jacket

so no one really knows what they are drinking, we dont know if it is coors light or grey goose vodka. it just helps protect themselves

How do you know it's beer if it's in a paper bag? That sounds more like an assumption. That is why ...lol

In certain jurisdictions the consumption of alcohol in public is prohibited, but if its in a bag you can take a swig and you're not technically breaking the law.

If its illegal to drink alcohol in public putting a paper bag over the container would make it more obvious.

Most states have a no open container law.Witch means no open beer cans or wine bottles . So they hide the wrapper.

first, because they're ashame of others and they don't like others to see what they're drinking, and drink in public place sometime is not acceptible.

All wrong.
Wrong wrong wrong.

It keeps it cold.

None of you drink beer.

Everybody knows it's a beer.... no seceret.

It's pretty stupid to do so if ya ask me. it's like a red flare or flag going out saying, "Hey look at me, I'm drinking beer in public even though I shouldn't be!". No faster way to have a foot cop approach ya I say.
