What is the purpose of keeping Vodka in the freezer?? Any others that need stored in the freezer?!

Question: It's so it's cold when you drink it. Not much else is effected. The same is sometimes done with Gin and high alcohol specialty liqueurs like 99 Bananas, which won't freeze because the water to alcohol ratio is so high.

The colder it is, the smoother it is, because less alcohol will evaporate when it hits your mouth and the fumes won't go up your nose.

Things like wine, beer, sake, and so on will freeze (and be ruined if they do) so keep them outta there.

Because vodka tastes better when it's really cold

Alcohol does not freeze at the same tempurature as water. As a result you can put something with a high alcohol content in the freezer and it will get very cold but not freeze.

It's a matter of personal preference. I prefer my vodka very cold. I also like to freeze schnapps (all flavors).

It won't freeze. It helps keep it cold for when you mix it for a cold drink.

I store vodka, j?ger, goldschlager, sambuca, and schnapps in the freezer. I don't know why, my folks store there's in there, and so do many bars. It tastes so much better freezing cold, it takes the burn of doing it in shot form away.

It won't freeze, it will just make it VERY cold. It's smoother cold.

it just tastes better when its cold. just about anything that can go in the freezer that you want, just not any Margarita mix unless you want to lay it out for a while b/c it will be completely frozen and cant get it out of the bottle.
