Looking for a new exotic beer to try....?!

Question:

Looking for a new exotic beer to try....?

i love chimay and hoegarden and boddingtons......looking for something else (non american) to try?

Answers:
Did you have the blue chimay or the red? I'd give the red a 9 and the blue a 10.

Try and see if you can find any of these belgians:
La CHouffe, or McChouffe (garden Gnomes on Label),
Maredsous 10 or 8,
Het KAppitel especially the Abt,
St Bernardus,
Rochefort 10 (the king of all beers, kneel in its presence), Abbey des Rocs,
Tripel Karmelite,

American Craft Beers:
Victory (PA) Old Horizontal, and StormKing
Three Floyd's Alpha King
Sierra Nevada Bigfoot
New Belguim Fat Tire
Stone Ruination

My Favorite German:
Spaten Octoberfest (sadly the wrong time of the year, next fal I'm buying three cases)

Heineken is Dutch and Red Stripe is Jamaican and they are both piss! Duvel is quite good but I can't think of anyone knowledgable of Belgian beers that would call it the best, for me chimay blue, rochefort 10, and maredsous 10 are all easilly better.

Killian red

If you are a fan of trying different beers and willing to go out on a limb I just had from the Wells Brewery in england their Banana Bread beer, on tap, and the flavor is great. Or I would recommend going with something a little more predictable in flavor, like a Pacifico, Becks Dark, or Chechvar...good luck to ya

Heineken and Red Stripe I believe are German beers.

Foster's "Australian for beer". I believe is their slogan.

It's not exotic as in from another country, but Fat Tire is quite a monster. Also head to the local Trader Joes-not only do they import various micro-brews from across the globe, their house label is amazing (at least try their Christmas Double Bock when it comes in season!)

I really like Heineken (Holland). I also like Kronenbourg (France), Red Stripe (Jamaica), Tiger (Singapore), Singha (Thailand), Sapporo (Japan), Harbin (China), Carlsberg (Denmark), there's a few more but hope that helps for now.

ditto, Scramble - FAT TIRE is the bombastic best beer

Duvel is considered the best Belgian beer in the world. There's also lambics, very sour beers.

st. sixtus. it's a dark belgian ale that's high in alcohol (16%)

kilkenny's. However, it is only available outside of the States.
