Scotch Newbie who really enjoyed Cragganmore: suggestions under $60?!

Question:

Scotch Newbie who really enjoyed Cragganmore: suggestions under $60?

What is your favorite scotch that doesn't bust the bank entirely?

Answers:
If your a newbie stick to single malts, my favorite is Glenfidich, Glenmorgie and Knockendo.

All can be purchased for $25-35 US, the better and finest are much more expensive, but I would stick to the single malts under $40, then if it something you really like it, a bottle of the good stuff is a reward.

I am not againist blended scotch, like Cutty Sark Ballantines or Chivas, it is a single malt is so much more complex and has a smokey peaty flavour and you taste the oak and can appreciate the grain and time it took to make it, blended can be a mixture of 5 to 20 year old, depending on the maker, still a grand drink but not as luxurious as a single malts linger taste.

Chivas Regal. Very smooth.

Johnnie Walker Black label.

Johnny Walker black and green if you can find it, McCallum is also one of my favorites but that is a single malt not a blend like JW is
