Is it true that you can legaly drink at 18, but cannot buy it until you are 21?!
Answers: It all depends on what state you live in. Here in Oregon, if you are drinking at home with your parents, it doesn't matter what age you are. In some areas of the country, the police no longer cite people for drinking under age.
Not that I have ever heard. Now if you work at a retailer that sells alcohol you can ring it up for a customer if you are 18 and that sort of thing.
Nope. Buying & Drinking alcohol is only legal if you're 21 and older.
Its not true that you can drink at the age of 18. you can only drink when your 21 or older and its the same for buying it too.
In some places like Mexico and Canada but like if a cop catches you and a adult and the adult bought but you still drank you will be probably still be charged with underage drinking, just for example.
I dont know whwere u r from but in the US the legal drinking age is 21
In the US? No, nada 'till 21.
It depends on the situation. As many have said 21 means no alcohol consumption until 21, in every circumstance. This is false.
There are exceptions to the 21 rule, but they're rare. It would be acceptable to drink in your household, with a parent present. This doesn't mean drink with a friend and your parent, just you. You would also be able to drink at a family reunion, and in my state, at a wedding, even if it was a reception hall.
Since the legal limit for people under 21 is 0.02 as opposed to people 21 and over (0.08), you have to be more careful. Even having 1 beer and waiting an hour, if you had a blow tailight you could get a DUI.
Whoever told you that is an idiot.
