Why doesnt vodka freeze?!

Question:

Why doesnt vodka freeze?

Answers:
Vodka can freeze - it's just not cold enough in most refrigerators to do it. Ethanol freezes at -173F/73C, and that's a LOT colder than the zero degrees or so that most home freezers maintain.

because its poison and poison doesnt freeze it only kills, so think about the next time you pour a cold glass

The alcohol in it has a higher freezing point that the temp in the freezer.

its the alcohol that doesn't freeze at freezer temps.
I think alcohol freezes at 90 below 0....I think...it may be higher or lower

alcohol does not freeze. I have noticed when I buy the big bottle of margaritas, I dump it in a plastic tub toss it in the freezer, it is ready to scoop in a glass.

Alcohol has a much lower freezing point than water. Vodka will freeze you just have to bring it down to a much lower temperature. That first poster is a freakin douche
