Is there a temperature that vodka will freeze at?!

Question: Vodka will freeze, but it's somewhere between dry ice and liquid nitrogen (that = fatal). alcohol is used in thermometers that measure sub zero temps because it freezes so low.

You wanna do a Smoothie? EASY! You like chocolate? Make some chocolate milk but with hallf milk and half creme de cacao or any other chocolate liqueur, freeze it ice treys, throw the cubes in a blender, then add freezer vodka and chocolate syrup. Blastoff time. This also works with fruit liqueurs and juice, and then adding vodka and some jam/jelly/marmalade in the blender.

It doesn't freeze!

Yes.

I don't know what it is, but everything will freeze at absolute zero, so there must be a temperature at which vodka will freeze

The freezing point will depend on the alcohol content. My guess is that we're looking about around 80 proof, that is, 40% alcohol.

95% ethanol (Everclear, if you like) freezes at about -110°C, which is about -200°F. Assuming a linear relationship we estimate that 40% ethanol freezes a bit below -40°C = -40°F. (Actually, 40% ethanol freezes at almost -30°C according to the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics.)

I don't think so. Why would you want to freeze it anyway?

No liquor doesn't freeze, I know this because my sister in law leaves her bottle in the freezer 24/7 and it's just cold.

no

They calculate that 40% alcohol should freeze somewhere around -30 deg Celcius

yes it also depends on impurities in liquid .it is less than 0%,water will freeze and leave alcohol as a liquid.

it just gets thicker.i drank it at 28 below freezing.if you can get it that cold its super dooper..it will not freez solid.

you want to put vodka ice cubes in peoples drinks do you?
let me know if it works

80 proof Vodka will freeze at approx -16 degrees Fahrenheit so while it will freeze it would be very difficult to do at home

absolute zero. if your fridge is that cold get a new one. ha-ha. Check the kelvin scale for more accurate results.

Y'all suck at science.

-30 C is where 40% vodka freezes. Everything freezes, it's just a question of when. As stated, pure ethanol is around -110C, and water is 0C by definition.

Your next question should be, How can I get vodka to -30C? Dry ice, -79C.

Vodka won`t freeze at any temperature

It doesn't freeze neat cause of the alcohol in it

Same as any liquid,lol.
