Yellow Tail Chardonnay?!
Answers: On the back of the bottle it says it has a peachy vanilla and coconut aroma. Does that mean it has coconut in it? If so, do the coconut enzymes break down in fermentation? I got a bottle of the Yellow Tail Chardonnay as a gift and I'm highly allergic to coconut and I want to know if it is safe to drink it.
Oh gee whiz, girl worry about something else, will you?
The back of the bottle has whatever fine adjectives the vintner wanted to to offer as an 'accolade' to sell his juice.
But don't consider it a list of ingredients, 'cause it isn't.
The pretty words are just some 'swirl n' sniff' wine snob's conceptualized opinion as to the wine's particular qualities. The bouquet, the nose, the color, the body, the mouthfeel, and on and on and ON! His pretty talking there is intended to intice buyers who urgently desire to experience these subtle nuances.
But it's not a list of additives or stuff dumped into the wine; for example, 'Redolent of Tar and Lichi Nuts' doesn't mean that the winery blended tar and lichi nuts into their Zinfandel.
I've had Yellowtail Chardonnay, and it was perfectly good-no peaches or coconuts at all.
So enjoy it without fear.
Cheers!
I doubt there is coconut in. That may just be a description of the aroma. However, I would suggest if you are highly allergic to coconut you shouldn't risk drinking it.
yes dont drink it
give it to someone else
Heck no, you shouldnt drink it... the fact that it mentions coconut means there is some component of cocunut in it... I wouldnt chance it!!
Hello, do not drink if you are allergic to coconut. Hand over that bottle....LOL
I am the same about strawberries:)
FYI... this Chardonnay tastes awful!!! Just my opinion.
Yellowtail as a gift eh?...Hello Re-Gifter!
no coconut, just grapes water and sulfides with a little yeast
