What's the best brand of Sake?!

Question: Akita Homare from Akita Japan (where else).

Other good brands:
-Harushika
-Sawanoi
-Tenzan
-Otoko Yama
-Namahage

Sake doesn't age well. So local sources are good since the longer it sits the less nice it is. A good domestic label from the U.S. is called "Momokawa" and is worth looking for, as it's a great value usually under $10-12 depending where you are.

Under no circumstances should you buy Gekkeikan, Shou Chiku Bai, or Ozeki.

Avoid Gekkikan, as the above poster said.

Wandering Poet is a good brand as well.
