Answers: When you mix drinks they call for "one part" of a particular liquor...what is that part?

"One part" of alcohol is relative to the size of the drink you're making, or the recipe of it. For example, if you're making a screwdriver, you could make it 2 oz. vodka to 4 oz. of orange juice. That would be "one part" alcohol mixed with "2 parts" OJ making a 6 oz. drink. The "part" concept could be applied to most things when combining ingredients or solutions.

It's basically an undefined unit of measure, whatever you want that unit to be. So say your recipe says "add one part vodka to two parts orange juice", if you use 2 ounces of vodka, you'll want to use 4 ounces of orange juice.

it depends on how much you're making. a part is relative. say your recipe is one part rum, two parts juice and two parts gin. and you want to make a pitcher of 40 ounces, that's 8 oz rum, 16 oz juice and 16oz gin. if it's a 15 oz glass, then it's 3oz of rum, 6 oz of juice and 6 oz of gin.
