Can you put an open pack of cigarettes into the freezer?!

Question:

Can you put an open pack of cigarettes into the freezer?

What happens to the tabacco?

Answers:
You can, but you'll dry the tobacco out.

Yeah, but I'd put them in a ziploc bag so that no moisture gets into them. My mother always puts her cartons of cigarettes in the freezer. It makes them last longer. Don't dry out as quickly.

You can,. It use to be thought that it would keep the cigs fresh longer. Untrue, it only dries out the tobacco! So as I said, Yes, but only if you are trying to ruin the pkg. (grin)

Moisture will get into the cigarettes and ruin them if they're not sealed.

it gets fresh, most people store coffee beans in their freezer to, so that coffee taste better. i smoke, and i put my cigarettes into the freezer, so that the cigarettes taste better. but if you put cigaretttes into the freezer for a long time, like 6 months to a year, then you might get the freshness out.

Wow! I never heard anything about this! Suppose I'll try putting my cigarettes in the freezer.
