Should The Absinthe Laws In The US Be Changed To Legalize It?!

Question: is it really as bad as people say? does it make you hallucinate and go violent?

Not everyone..... just like other alcohol doesn't effect everyone the same way. Legalizing absinthe is just like the argument to legalize marijuanna, something as harmful or more harmful is legal why isnt this? And to that i have no answer.

Yes it should be changed but absinthe has a horrible taste

Ummm Hell yeah I tried it once, f88888 my *** up!

Well, the best malaria medicine is made from sweet wormwood (if it's not Artemesia absinthum, then it's definitely related.)

But it's super-expensive because they only grow it in China and people who need it can't afford it because of the limited supply.

If a larger supply of wormwood worldwide made the medicine cheaper, that would be good for the millions of people who get malaria. So maybe absinthe is good for malaria, I dunno.

But there should definitely be more malaria medicine.

And for the record, you can grow wormwood quite easily--I have a BIG clump of it right outside my living room window. So I guess you could brew your own if you were hard-up.

But it smells like anise or licorice...I have a feeling I'd hate the taste of it.

No the laws are the way they are supposed to be. We as a nation can't control the drugs we have now. This is a double drug alcohol and wormwood, a bad combination.

As far as I know it's incredibly difficult to get Absinthe with all the hallucinagens in them now. It's just a hideously flavoured drink.

It was probably made illegal because of what it used to be like and no-one's bothered to review it in the last fifty years!

BTW - I've had some and it tastes foul so you're not missing much.

You're too late...it's legal.

As far as "as bad as people say," do you mean taste? It tastes very strongly of anise...like black liquorice. If you don't like that flavor, then it would taste bad to you.
Does it make you hallucinate or violent? Nope, never has. That's all just urban legend and hollywood hype.
